The Android platform for smart phones is slowly becoming the standard for numerous phone producers, even LG is getting in on the market with its P500. LG started the Optimus line of phones to keep up with other manufacturers like Motorola, who are taking advantage of Google's Android OS. The LG Optimus One P500 Android handset has been gaining a large amount of attention, which is rather strange since it doesn't have all the features as other Android phones. LG's version while being a little stripped down, also makes it more inexpensive, which is perfect for folks that want an Android phone but can't afford to spend a small fortune on a phone.

Pros

For the comprehensive LG Optimus One Android Review. The LG Optimus One P500 Android handset is great in the sense that it looks a lot like the other major smart phones that are powered by Android. One thing that numerous individuals like is the 3.2 inch display, because the display is a little smaller it makes the phone easier to carry around as compared to the larger phones. When you are going though the phone's applications you will find that the screen is multi touch enabled making it somewhat speedier. Multi touch is ordinarily only available on the high priced phone, so it is pleasant to have this feature on this less expensive option. Likewise, you can watch DVD quality movies with the LG Optimus One P500 Android handset. While you can upgrade this Android phone from LG itself to 32GB with the card slot, when you buy the phone it merely has 170 MB of memory. You will have a 2 GB card when you buy the phone. And of course, the LG Optimus One P500 Android handset comes complete with WIFI and Bluetooth which comes with all the LG smart phones. A great little feature that is added to this Android phone from LG is the integrated GPS. Navigating through the user interface is very user-friendly in both portrait and landscape modes, thanks to the on-screen QWERTY keyboard and the accelerometer allows these two views to be changed without any hassle. The Quad-band and dual-band 3G with HSDPA support further add to an already great list. Finally, this phone comes with a great loudspeaker.

Negative Aspects

The downsides of this Android phone from LG are a little unique but nothing too alarming. Although the camera has auto focus, face detection and geotagging, nonetheless this LG smart phone only works with 3 mega pixels. Despite the fact that Android Froyo is installed, the phone features no Adobe Flash support though the social networking integration is still pretty good on the connectivity side. Last, the slow 600 MHz processor may make editing documents a little sluggish but fortunately the rest of the interface runs fine.
