Advertising for the Google phone is widespread nationally and you've probably seen several advertisements. Until now you haven't learned much about the new Google phones. The Android Operating System is the primary OS used in Google's new "smart phone". The similarities between other phones and the google phone end there.

I've used a number of different Android devices. They have many apps like cellphone monitoring software as well as other awesome programs

Did you know that people who use phones that run the Android OS (operating system) are less likely to pay for applications than users of the iPhone? Studies have shown that roughly fifty percent of all iPhone users will gladly pay for the apps they can't find for free. This study also shows that only one in five people who use the Android phones will buy applications. While this will probably change some when the paid application section of the Android market gets bigger, for now, iPhone users are less financially responsible than Android users. This might not seem like something to brag about but some people are very proud of this!

The importance of having options to choose from is important to people who do not like being forced into one or two options for their technology devices. The infinite number of Google phones offers customers the ability to customize their phones to their desires rather than just what they can get in a package deal. You have the flexibility to choose only the services you need without being forced to take a system or service you don't want. You can now decide which features best fit the phone you need.

Believe it or not, the Android OS is based on the Linux OS. Linux is an open source operating system that people use instead of Windows or Mac OSes. There are a lot of rumors about why Google found the OS so intriguing. Everybody knows that Google and Microsoft are rivals. Is it any wonder that the powers that be at Google would be so quick to buy a system that promised to be a major competitor for Windows? Perhaps the biggest bonus to using a Linux-based OS is that everybody is allowed to develop new uses, versions and upgrades for the system. This allows the company to keep their costs low and their profits sky high.

If you love music there are lots of options for buying it through your Android OS phone. Perhaps the biggest perk of owning an iPhone is its access to the iTunes store and library. That doesn't mean that you can't have the same level of access if you have a Google phone. There are many music apps that cost nothing available for the Android phones. Others connect to various music sales sites in a way that is a lot like the way that the iPhone connects to the iTunes marketplace.

So don't believe anyone who tells you that you can only use music if you have an iPhone.

After it's premier in 2007 most cellular providers began requiring the use of open source for many devices and began implementing the Android OS. Not very many people can say they are using the same phone today that they used in 2007, can you?
