Smart phones are one of the many innovative devices ever invented by man. With smart phones, we can communicate with our families and friends, as well as enabling us to access a plethora of information with the Internet and many others. With the help of the smart phone, tasks that are usually hard to do are now made easier.

However, most smart phones only have a short battery life. These smart phones, including the new smart phone, only lasts for about 10-16 hours. If used with other accessories, however, you can extend it to 14-20 hours, which is still not good. Using protective smart phone accessories such as a case and a screen protector can also help in increasing your battery output. But, this only does little as well. That is why it is important that you avail and use a battery charger. Also, you must choose which charger you should use to charge your smart phone. Here are the two most common types of chargers, as well as their different advantages and disadvantages.

Home chargers are common, as these types of chargers are usually bundled with the smart phone you have bought. You can also find an easy and cheap replacement to it should it malfunction. With home chargers, you can charge your smart phone anywhere as long as you can connect this charger to a compatible electrical outlet. These chargers can easily power up your smart phone's battery and spare battery packs, taking only 2-3 hours to fully charge both of them. This is an absolute necessity, as you would need to charge your smart phone always so that you can use its many different features and functionalities.

The only disadvantage of home chargers is that they are not portable. You can only use home chargers at home, which is very impractical especially if you don't stay on the house often. Hence, this type of charger is not suitable for people who are always on the go. Instead, they should use portable chargers, like the more mobile car chargers.

If you are out for long periods of time, then car chargers are the right type of chargers for you. Car chargers can be used on cars and other vehicles with a socket made for cigarette lighters. By availing of these types of chargers, you can charge your smart phone, and your battery packs as well, anytime and anywhere. Just plug the car charger in the cigarette lighter socket and let it charge your phone. Car chargers come in different types, as different smart phone brands have their own unique phone sockets. With car chargers, you can power up your smart phone (and your battery packs) anytime, anywhere.

Just like home chargers, car chargers have their own disadvantages too. Compared to home chargers, car chargers can take longer to fully charge a battery pack. For example, you can fully charge your smart phone in 2 hours. By using the car charger, you must wait around 3-5 hours to charge it fully. Also, finding the right charger for your smart phone can be really hard, especially for new and upcoming smart phone models like this smart phone. These disadvantages, however, should not deter you from buying one, as owning one can be very convenient. If you are seeking more information regarding these devices you can look at the HTC One forum online. There is even the HTC One X forum, HTC One XL forum, HTC One S forum and the HTC One V forum that focus on a specific aspect.
