With all these performance activities going on, there are no compromises in the performance of the pc. It is a great improvement in comparison to prior NIS products which I have used (2009 and 2010).

I'd highly recommend it, especially over the trash free ware out there :) It's not expensive (unless you buy direct from Norton), easy to use, light, and fast, what more could you ask for? As it stands, it makes more sense to buy a whole new box rather than renew your old one. Once again Norton gets a 5 star rating from me. It installed cleanly over my older version, and runs quietly in the background. I was quite satisfied with it, at least for a while, and then I tested it against Norton's Internet Security and was stunned to see the big differences. Although 360 has some nice features such as control of most startup programs, and registry cleaning, in runs so slow compared to the Internet Security program.

Once you get this software it will let you install on 3 different computers. Haven't tested 64bit version, but I'm pretty sure it should work the same.

It is often cheaper simply to buy a new license (in a 50% off sale) than it is to renew the subscription. I have been using Norton Antivirus and then Norton Internet Security for as long as I can recall. Thank you Norton you converted a working computer into a paperweight. This product meets all of my requirements year after year: protection, price, and three PC coverage.

Norton's Internet Security doesn't slow a computer down, at least mine, and most important it works in the back ground. I must add this caveat, there is no computer program that will keep your children totally or completely safe, so good parental judgment on computer usage is always a plus, but Norton's parental control management helps in monitoring usage.

Add to this outstanding support and you have a great product. There is one problem with the login feature, which works great and is as advertised. I was told by my computer tech in my office to get this as the new computers we had set up earlier a few months before came with Trend Micro Anti-Virus and the software was interfering with the Tax Software we need to use in our Tax Preparation Co. I've had no trouble with this program.

Essentially, you are buying a new license each year. I skipped NIS one year because I found ZoneAlarm for free after rebates and thought I would give it a try since I had used their fantastic free firewall program for years. I did not see any difference, and deleting temporary files and all cookies in IE wiped out my entire saved log in info, which was a minor pain. One point raised by others.

These are very vanilla systems with almost nothing installed on them. The web sites that have crashed are not consistent and by no means dangerous sites. I hear Norton Ghost is just as flakey.
