The keyboard is easy to use and full sized, which I love. I've seen some complaints about the track pad but we have had no problems, maybe because we paired it with a wireless mouse.

The volume control keys also don't work. I haven't tried the external monitor keys.

I have been typing on every netbook I've come across for at least a year, and so far this keyboard has been the best one. Something about the way it's laid out just makes it seem more expansive.

So watch out for that. I always thought netbooks sucked. Battery life is also great. Great job Toshiba, I am very happy. My only complaint it the backspace key is slightly out of position and I sometimes hit the = key instead. The touchpad works well, but I bought a wireless mouse as that is more comfortable to navigate lengthy documents.

I cannot recommend the carrying case that Amazon here recommends because there is no good place to store the power supply, except to force it in and begin wearing it down, but I am not dinging my rating here based on the case, just be forewarned about it! Whoops, I almost forgot to scream (in a bad way) at Amazon for how they ship this! I did upgrade to 2G of memory. Now I know nothing about computer innards and the replacement was very easy. I found only a few places where I needed to pay for a connection. The cost of the netbook was less than what I would have paid to connect with my Blackberry.

I have been very happy with my purchase of the Netbook. The Netbook is performing very well I have installed Microsoft Office 2007; I plan to upgrade the memory to 2GB. It is small, lightweight and I have yet to re-charge it in the last 2 days of using it (it runs on "balanced" mode so far and goes to sleep on its own but can be set to an "eco mode" which will make it last even longer on a charge). It runs windows 7 starter 32 bit OS and loads up fast. I am able to get about 5-6 hours of battery life, which works for me. As for the speed, it seems good (I mostly use it for browsing and emails). I generally get about eight hours of battery life with moderate use which is simply amazing. This netbook is much better than my MacBook which gets only 1.5-2 hours of battery life. Before this, I had a Samsung NC10. When I compare the two, the Samsung is way better.
