The suction cup for the windshield is nice and heavy duty and doesn't let go in the hot sun the way my Garmin will. The vent clip fits on both my old S70 Volvo and my wife's Audi but isn't quite as tight gripped onto the fins of the vent as I would like. I haven't used the A/C mount so I can't report on that. I've bought cell phone mounts before and they all turned out to be junk.

This mount is perfect for the Sprint Evo 4g. It fits phone with all ports exposed.

I spent a long time keeping my phone on my lap to watch traffic - this is a nice way to solve that problem. There are a number of ways of mounting, I used the windshield mount. It would have 5 Stars if I could use the AC mount. All you need to get the job done, thanks ok so I have the HTC Evo 4g and I wanted some kind of car dock to hold it for GPS use. You can mount your phone either vertically or horizontally. I have not tried the foam-tape attachment that sticks to the dash because the window mount was the least intrusive setup but that looks pretty solid as well. I will still keep it, but will use it with a little caution. Also, the side grips cover up the volume and make it hard to have the phone plugged in to charge while mounted. I have tried using the windshield mount in my vehicle and it is pretty sturdy and attaches well to both the windshield. The grip also fits my Samsung Galaxy S II with no difficulty.

The holder can adjust the size so it will work for most smartphones. There are a plenty of room on both the top and the bottom for cables.

They're still soft enough to provide a good grip without being too tight. The push button release for the ratcheting arms is quick and easy to use, and so far hasn't released unprompted.

I haven't had much success with car mounts for either the HTC Hero or Droid Incredible, but the Arkon has been the best I've tried so far and is inexpensive compared to others. I've used it in both a Honda CR-V and Toyota Yaris. I got this one and the Motorola brand dash mount. The Motorola mount is nice that it puts the phone in to car mode automatically when you put the phone on it. I was impressed with the quality of the Windshield mount and was happy to see how snug my phone fit. The adjustable arms were such a great idea.

But I have gotten it to work well enough. I used this on a vacation trip to hold my Samsung Vibrant and use it as a GPS navigation device.

I move around a lot from different cars, this thing still sticks with no licking of the suction cup. My only problem is that it has a short arm for the cars I drive, so it must be next to the rearview mirror.
